A few kilometers from Arequipa you will discover a city of quarries. On this tour you will be amazed by the carvings made by the villagers based on sillar and also find petroglyphs of Sillar that so far their origin is unknown, you can take beautiful pictures. A stroll through the White City!
8:00 am or 14:00 hrs. the tour begins with the pick-up of passengers from their respective accommodation or in any case in the main square will be the starting point, and start the journey. Then we will stop on the way to a natural viewpoint where we can appreciate the volcanoes and the rest of the city, then we will arrive at the quarries of añashuayco. First the quarrymen will explain the process of carving the ashlar, its composition and history as they use this stone since ancient times as it is part of the entire architectural complex of the city center and can appreciate carvings and can take fun photos for your memory. After that we get back on the transport to go to the last point, we will make a walk of 20min approx. to Culebrillas. Then we will hike to Culebrillas, a small canyon formed by the passage of time, where you can see carved in this stone ashlar, these petroglyphs are still unknown its origin or cause, during the tour you can take several photos and have enough time to enjoy this landscape. 12:30 hrs or 18:30 hrs, then we will leave by the same road and return to the center of the city of Arequipa.
