THE ROUTE OF THE SUN

We will pick you up from your accommodation between 06:30 and 06:45 am to take you to board our buses. We will leave the city of Puno at about 07:00 am. We will visit the Pukara Lithic Museum, a place where the remains left by the ancient Pukara people are found. Continuing the tour we will visit the highest point of all the way known as the “Paso de La Raya”, this place is the boundary between the regions of Puno and Cusco, from here you can observe the native flora and fauna of the area as well as beautiful landscapes and snowy peaks where you can take pictures. At about 12:30 to 13:00 hrs you will arrive to the small town of Sicuani, here you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch you will board our bus to go to Raqchi, a place of religious character with Inca and Waris architectural features, this was the temple of “Wiracocha”, you will also learn about the culture of the people who inhabit this place. Continuing with the tour we will visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, considered the Sistine Chapel of America due to the impressive beauty of its altarpieces, frescoes, and other artistic representations. Here we also found evidence that the Pukina Language was spoken in earlier times.
