Discover the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas and enjoy the archaeological parks that reside in it. Pisaq, a town that holds a stunning citadel of Inca times and Ollantaytambo the last living Inca city. Also, on the tour you will learn about the textile richness of the Chinchero district and the natural beauty of the Urubamba Valley.
Around 06:30 am – 07:00 am, we will pick you up from your respective accommodation to start with the tour. We will depart to Chinchero, ancestral town of the Incas, where we will visit the royal Hacienda of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui. Also, we will appreciate the colonial square and arches. Then we will visit the archaeological center of Moray, where we will find a series of circular terraces. The third place to visit will be the salt mines of Maras, a place of great importance since pre-Inca times. We will descend to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch we will go to the ancient citadel of Ollantaytambo, an imposing fortress where we will appreciate a series of walls, temples and impressive canals that show the wonderful work of ancient Inca architects and engineers. Finally, we will visit the magnificent archaeological park of Pisaq, a place that holds a large cemetery of great importance, as well as a series of large terraces that served for agriculture, we will also visit the colonial town of Pisaq, where you can appreciate the market with local crafts and incredible jewelry made of silver.
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco.
The tour ends at approximately 14:00 hrs.
