The Inca citadel of Machu Picchu (called the lost city of the Incas) is a pre Columbian XV century Inca site. Machu Picchu is located high up on the mountainside at 2,400m or 8,000fts. The nearest town is Aguas Calientes, which is located down in the valley beside the Urubamba River at 2,000m. From Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu is only 25 minutes by bus or one hour hike the narrow, steep and zigzagging trail.

Upon arrival to Cusco, reception by our representative and transfer to the selected hotel (Coca tea courtesy). The rest of the morning is free to rest and get acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon (13:40 hrs.), we are going to visit the Imperial City, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. We start our trip visiting the cathedral, the Qoriqancha temple, actually Santo Domingo Convent a place that housed inside one of the most important religious centers of the Inca period, and ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Going on with the tour, the tour moved to the outskirts of the city to the magnificent Sacsayhuaman (head of Puma), which domains the city, built strategically on a hill overlooking Cusco; famous for its enormous carved stones joined with astounding precision to form the outer walls. Some of these stones stand over 9m/3oft.tall, and weight over 128 tons; just 200 meters from Sacsayhuaman is our next destination Qenqo (ceremonial site) religious center dedicated to the worship earth and funerary rituals. Puca Pucara (the red fortress) that was used as a center for military use and control, as well as a place to stop for the travelers from the Inca period. Our ultimate destination located just 100 meters from Puca Pucara.
Later on, we will visit Tambomachay (temple of water) was use as a center of worship of water.
After touring around, we will back to Cusco by train.
Upon arrival to Cusco, you will be met by our representative and transferred to selected hotel to spend a night.
We will pick you up at 08:45am from the hotel and we will on a one hour drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac, the entrance to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
We will stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. Then, we will arrive to the Pisac town, we will continue going to the Pisac ruins where we will have a guided tour; after the tour, we will down to the Pisac market, we will arrive to the colorful market, where we will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs.
Around lunchtime, we will stop in Urubamba town, the capital of the Sacred Valley, to feast on local cuisine, before heading further into the Sacred Valley.
We will stop at a chicheria along the way, where you can sample the local drink chicha (corn beer).
Continuing our Sacred Valley tour with a visit to the attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets; visiting the nearby archaeological site Ollantaytambo, In its high part one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the inferior part of the valley, for insight into the Incan past and magnificent views. Once here, we will set out on foot to go beyond the traditional sites and explore smaller ancient streets.
Finally, after touring around, we will go to the train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu (2 hours from Ollantaytambo by train).
The excursion will be by train and during the trip we will have an amazing view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, you will be met by our representative and transferred to selected hotel to spend a night.
Early in the morning, our representative will assist to transfer you to a bus for a brief journey to the much visited archaeological site of Machu Picchu (25 minutes up and 25 minutes down), which will take you at the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit you the history around this mysterious and charming place. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu at your own pace.

Later on, we will take a bus down to Aguas Calientes.
If you want, you can have a buffet lunch in one of the restaurants there are at Aguas Calientes town.
At around 16:00hrs it’s time to make the return journey back to the city of Cusco. Hop on the train and ride back to the city, away from the magnetic heritage of mighty Machu Picchu a mesmerizing place that will leave an imprint on your soul.
Upon arrival to Cusco, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the selected hotel to spend a night.
Departure Cusco at any time, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Lima or your next destination.

For Magic Cusco and Machu Picchu Sunrise tour you´ll need a change of clothes, mineral water one liter, rain gear or poncho (plastic poncho cam be purchase in Cusco), warm jacket or fleece and wind coot, t-shirts, shorts and long pants, sun hat and wool hat, flashlight and extra batteries, sun block and insect repellent, toilet paper and garbage bag, small towel, camera, extra film and extra batteries for your camera, snacks, chocolates, energy bars, personal things.
